How to create a survey and get useful answers

Step 1: Start a new survey

Sign in to the Ansel Forms console with your email code. On the dashboard, choose to make a new survey and give it a clear name, like Customer feedback June.

To save time, start from a survey template and change the questions.

Step 2: Add your questions

Pick the question types that fit what you want to learn:

• Star rating or scale to measure how happy people are.
• NPS to ask how likely people are to recommend you.
• Single choice or multiple choice for fixed options.
• Matrix to rate many things on the same scale.
• Long text for comments in their own words.

Step 3: Choose a style that fits

Use Card style to show one question at a time with a progress bar. It feels short and works well on phones. Use Classic if you want every question on one page.

Open Style to set your colours, then write a friendly thank you message in Settings.

Step 4: Share your survey

Save the survey, then choose how to reach people:

• Send the link by WhatsApp, email or social media.
• Place it on your website with the embed code.
• On Pro, send it by email to your contacts and groups.

When you send by email, you can show one question as buttons. A tap opens the online survey with that answer already filled in.

Step 5: Read the results

Open analytics for the survey. Each question gets its own chart, with averages for ratings and a score for NPS. You also see views, answers, countries and devices for each day.

Export all answers to a CSV file to work with them in Excel or Google Sheets.
