Privacy policy and terms of service

This page explains how Ansel Forms handles data and what we expect from everyone who uses it. We wrote it in plain words.

Ansel Forms is run by ANSELERATE WEB SERVICES LLP, Bengaluru, India. Below, "we" and "us" mean this company. "You" means anyone who uses Ansel Forms.

Privacy policy

We do not sell your data. We show no ads and we use no advertising trackers on this website, in the console or on your forms.

What we collect from you

  • Your email address, to log you in with a code and to send service messages.
  • Your name, phone number and address, only if you add them to your account.
  • Your plan and payment status, which our billing site console.ansel.cloud shares with us.
  • Security logs, such as IP addresses, to stop abuse. We keep them for a short time.

What we collect for you

When someone fills in one of your forms, surveys or quizzes, we save their answers and any files they upload. This data belongs to you. We keep it so you can read it, export it and, on Pro, get it by email.

The same is true for your contacts and the emails you send with Ansel Forms.

Visitor counts

We count views of your forms and apps by day. We do not store visitor IP addresses for this. A scrambled daily number helps us count unique visitors, and it is deleted after one day.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. Your public forms set no cookies. The console uses one session cookie to keep you logged in. We use no tracking cookies.

Emails we send

Login codes and service messages go to your account email. Receipts, survey invitations and marketing emails go only to people a form owner chooses. Every survey and marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we stop sending to people who use it. Marketing emails may count opens and clicks so the sender can see results.

Files

Uploaded files are kept in private storage that cannot be opened from the web. Only the form owner can download them after logging in.

Services we use

  • DigitalOcean, to run our servers and database.
  • Cloudflare, for security checks, fast delivery, file storage and email queues.
  • Brevo, to deliver emails.

These companies process data only to provide their service to us.

How long we keep data

We keep answers and files until you delete them, the form or your account. When you delete them, the files are deleted too. Backups are removed on a rolling basis.

Your rights

You can see, export and delete your data in the console. To ask for a copy of your data, to fix it or to delete your account, write to support@anselforms.com. If you filled in someone else's form, please contact that form owner first, because they control that data.

Children

Ansel Forms is not made for children. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live to make an account.

Terms of service

Using the service

By using Ansel Forms you agree to these terms. You are responsible for your account, your forms and the data you collect with them.

Your duties as a form owner

  • Tell people what you do with their data, and follow the laws that apply to you.
  • Only email people who agreed to hear from you.
  • Do not collect passwords, card numbers, bank details or health records.

Not allowed

Do not use Ansel Forms for spam, phishing, scams, malware, hate, copyright abuse or anything illegal. Do not attack our servers or other users. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules. You can report abuse here.

Plans and payments

The free plan has limits that are shown on our pricing page. Pro and the Marketing add on are bought and managed at console.ansel.cloud. Payments are not refundable. If a paid plan ends, your account goes back to the free plan limits.

The Ansel Forms badge

Forms on the free plan show a small Powered by Ansel Forms badge. Pro users can turn it off.

Service as is

We work hard for good uptime and strong security, but the service is provided as is. We cannot promise it will never have downtime or data loss. Please keep your own copy of data you cannot lose.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.

Changes

We may update this page. When we do, we change the date at the top.

Governing law

These terms follow the laws of India. The courts in Bengaluru decide any dispute.
