How to create a form online for free
This guide shows you how to create an online form with Ansel Forms, from your first login to your first answer. It takes about five minutes.

Step 1: Sign in and set your brand
Go to the Ansel Forms console and type your email address. We send you a short code. Type the code and you are in. There is no password.
The first time, you choose a brand name. It becomes part of your form links, for example forms.anselforms.com/yourbrand.
Tip: Use your business name as the brand, so people trust the link.
Step 2: Start a new form
On the dashboard, choose to make a new form. Give it a name that you will know later, like Contact us or Cake orders.
You can also start from a template. Templates already have the right fields, so you only change the words.
Step 3: Pick Classic or Card
Choose how people see the questions:
- Classic shows all questions on one page. Good for short forms.
- Card shows one question at a time. Good for phones and longer forms.
You can switch later in the style settings.
Step 4: Add your fields
Click a field or drag it onto your form. You can add short text, long text, email, phone, number, full name, address, dropdown, single choice, multiple choice, date, time, file upload, star rating and more.
Click any field to change its label, help text and whether it is required. Drag fields up or down to change the order.
Add text and pictures
Use heading, paragraph, image, link and divider blocks to explain your form and make it look tidy.
Step 5: Set colours and settings
Open Style to change colours and buttons. Open Settings to write your thank you message, change the submit button text or send people to a page on your website after they submit.
Email alerts on Pro
Pro users can turn on an email for every new answer, with files attached, and a receipt for the person who filled in the form.
Step 6: Share your form and read answers
Press save, then share your online form:
- Copy the link and send it by email, WhatsApp or social media.
- Copy the embed code and paste it into your website.
Every answer appears in your dashboard. You can read each one, delete the ones you do not need and export all of them to a CSV file.

Can I create a form for free?
Yes. The free plan lets you keep up to 5 forms with no time limit.
Can I change my form after I share it?
Yes. Edit and save at any time. The link stays the same, so people always see the newest version.
How do I stop getting answers?
Open form settings and set the status to Closed. You can also pick a date for the form to close by itself.
